Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born on November 18, 1985. She was born in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister of Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet school for children in the elementary grades. Felix was an athlete of the highest level and found her passion of sprinting while at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships within just 10 weeks after her very first tryout. Felix agreed to sign a contract with Adidas for an official career at Adidas in 2003, and after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to pursue a degree in elementary education. The following year, Felix won her very first Olympic medal during the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece making the world junior record taking 200 metres at 22.18 seconds. In the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the youngest winner in the world in the 200m. She won the title in 2007. defended the title in front of her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor at Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, and Tokyo. She was consistently at the top of the podium in the events.
